In the city that never sleeps, it’s no surprise if you’re overwhelmed with the amount of options when it comes to holidays like Halloween. And if you’re saving up for Halloween candy (or, you know, rent), it may feel like there’s no way you can afford them all. But not to worry—we’ve got lots of cheap (and free!) events and classes, on KidPass and beyond. Read on to find one (or several!) for you and your little.

Halloween Spooktacular Kindermusik Class

Where: Larchmont, NY
When: October 26, 9:15 – 10:00 AM, October 30, 10:15 – 11:00 AM, October 31, 2:00 – 2:45 PM
Best for: Age 5 and under
Cost: Free!

Kids (and adults, too!) are encouraged to come in costume for this spooktacular FREE music class up in Westchester. With Halloween-themed music and activities, a good time will be had by all!

Monster Mash Halloween Party at Urban Jungle Play

Another super cute costumed event, this New Jersey party will have pumpkin decorating, a costume parade dance party, story time and crafts, snacks, plus open play!

“Mummy” and Me Open Play at FunFit Kids

Best for: Age 6 months – 3 years

Come in costume to this Halloween-themed open play session where kids can get their energy out ahead of the anticipated sugar rush. Let them run wild in this 2,700-square-foot playspace featuring rock climbing, scooters, gymnastic mats, sports equipment, a music area, and more.

Halloween Music and Play with Little Jay Music & Play

Best for: Age 6 months – 3 years

This Halloween-themed class is full of music and fun. With instruments, parachute, scarves, bubbles, and tunnels, plus a special Halloween surprise for kids to take home at the end of class, your little one is sure to have a blast.

Halloween Fun with FasTracKids

This Halloween event will start off with staff guiding parents and kids through Halloween crafts and activities, and end with a spooky dance party. Plus, there’s candy!

Candy at Fferins of Brooklyn

Where: South Slope
When: Every day (except Monday), 12 PM – 7:30 PM
Best for: all (candy-eating) ages!
Cost: 1 credit

Can’t wait ’til Halloween? Head to this Brooklyn sweet shop to indulge your sweet tooth any day of the week (except Mondays, when it’s closed.) Fferins has a sizable collection of UK treats, nostalgic retro candies, and everything in between.

Candy at Carl’s Candies

Where: Northport, Long Island
When: Every day, 11 AM – 7 PM
Best for: all (candy-eating) ages!
Cost: 2 – 3 credits

Carl’s Candies has tons of sweet and nostalgic goodies. Now through Halloween, come by and choose from a mixed gummy candy bag or a Halloween “Booquet”!
