Staying active in the cold winter months can be a challenge, but don’t worry we’ve got you covered! We’ve just added brand new ways to play, run, jump, and more. And the best part? You won’t have to brave the cold to travel far, because they’re all in your neighborhood! Check out all the new ways to play in Bayside, Whitestone and Flushing below! And if you feel like expanding your Queens adventures, check out our Long Island City and Astoria edition for even more fun in the borough.
The Little Gym
Bayside / 4 months – 12 years old
This gym believe kids should be able to act like kids! They also believe fun environments are especially conducive to the kind of learning that prepares them for life’s adventures. Sign up for one of their classes or try out their parent/child practice times and you and your little gym stars can have unstructured fun jumping, swinging, and tumbling.
Bayside / 0 – 5 years old
Sing together at a music class or let your preschoolers explore art, science, and more at School Skills. There’s literally something for everyone, big and small, at this location offering a great selection of art, play and learn, and sing-a-long classes.
Whitestone / 24 months – 12 years old
When the weather won’t let you play outside, head indoors to crawl, climb, slide, and bounce at this indoor playground with a jungle theme.
Good Day Play Cafe
Bayside / 8 months – 6 years old
Kick back and relax with a cup of coffee or enjoy fresh juice and finger foods, all while your little ones get to play! That’s because this cafe has an enclosed play area with an angled climbing wall, a slide into a ball pit, and a play marketplace. There is also a fully matted area for younger children with an activity wall and sensory toys, a Hinoki cypress wood cube pit (think of sandpit… but cleaner!), a library nook, and more!
Park City Gymnastics
Flushing / 12 months – 3 years old
Try out the Mommy & Me class at this gym and watch your kiddies quickly go from walking to climbing to running and tumbling! This program will help increase your little one’s confidence and independence through movement, obstacle courses, and music.
