It’s the most spooktacular time of the year here in NYC, and we’ve got the kids’ activities to prove it! Read on for all the Halloween crafts, cooking, and costumed events going on near you in the next couple of weeks!

Upper East Side / 3 – 12 years old

There’s tons of spooky fun to be had at this Upper East Side food business! From Spooktacular Cake Decorating to Pumpkin Painting to Cupcake and Cookie Decorating, there’s sure to be a fun (and delicious) craft for you and your little one.

Crazy Science Show
Chinatown / 3 – 10 years old

This science show for children takes on a spooky twist this Halloween! Come witness Crazy Science with the most horrible of all the horrible terrible crazy experiments. Children will learn how to make horror ice and Spooky Slim!

Come to this Rock or Treat Halloween music class & costume party across many Funikijam locations! Dress up in your favorite costumes and come dance along, sing along and play along to Halloween Favorites and FunikiJam originals! Free treats provided by Bare Snacks.

Gymboree Park Slope

Come to Gymboween at Gymboree! Dress up your little ones for this Halloween bash. With a parade of costumes, ghoulishly good crafts, monsterly fun music, mask-making, and treats for all, you’re sure to have a spooktacular time.

West New York / 0 – 5 years old

Come to KidzMusik’s Halloween-themed classes on October 24th and 31st! All children are encouraged to come in costume, or there will be witch and wizard costumes for those who’d like to borrow them! There will also be awesome Halloween props like skull shakers, little bats and snakes (not real!), and pumpkin and gourd instruments for little hands!

Little Jay Music & Play
Upper East Side / 1 – 3 years old

This Halloween themed class will full of music and fun! Taught by an NYC mom who is also a professional singer, this high energy class is full of surprises for your little one including instruments, parachute, scarves, bubbles, and tunnels. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and each kid will get a special Halloween surprise at the end of class.


Play City
Weehawkin / 1 – 12 years old

It’s Halloween, and Play City is proud to bring in an Abrakadoodle Instructor to teach an all-ages Family Paint Night! The BYOB fee will be waived for this special event. Please drink responsibly. Kids can enjoy unsupervised Open Play before and after Paint Night!

POGO Events
Midtown East / 5 – 17 years old

POGO Events presents The Amazing Halloween Scavenger Hunt! Part hunt, part obstacle course and all New York. A series of clues leads you around the city performing physical and mental challenges along the way. This hunt includes all things spooky and scary! Each member of the winning team receives a New York City gift package.

Williamsburg / 0 – 4 years old

Come to this special Halloween Puppetsburg show! Puppetsburg does interactive puppet shows for infants and toddlers. Each show is broken up into short activities like dancing, music, problem-solving, and interaction with the handmade puppets!


Sensory Fun in the Sun
Fresh Meadows, NY / 2 ½ – 9 years old

Join the Halloween Sensory Adventure! These outdoor fun-filled sensory groups will stimulate children’s 5 senses. Children will also practice problem solving, sequencing, coordinating both sides of the body together, fine and gross motor skills. Come in costume!

Kips Bay / 3 – 6 years old

WRKNYC Kids is a youth fitness program designed to provide active experiences to develop critical gross motor skills for growing bodies through movement games and activities led by a certified Youth Exercise Specialist. On Halloween, all children are invited to participate in costume, and there will also be a special Halloween craft!
