6 Musical Activities for Kids in the DC Area

Got a little musician on your hands? Or do you just want to open up your child to the world of music? You’re in luck, because we have several music-related activities for your kids right here on KidPass. Check them all out below!

Bach to Rock
Gaithersburg / 6 months – 17 years old

Bach to Rock provides music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. B2R’s unique method is based on the knowledge that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. Instruments taught include guitar, piano, drums, voice, DJ, saxophone, and trumpet. There are also early childhood classes for toddlers and preschoolers.

Gymboree
Alexandria / Burke / Columbia / Crofton 0 – 5 years old

There’s always fun to be had at Gymboree! Designed by experts in both education and in play, Gymboree’s age-appropriate activities help develop the cognitive, physical, and social skills of children as they play. Classes are designed in 6-month increments to continue to meet a child’s growing interests and abilities. You can choose from music classes, art classes, Play & Learn, and more. MEA Piano Studio

MEA Piano Studio is one of the only independent piano studios in the area with a full-time instructor dedicated to only teaching piano. Come for one-on-one piano lessons with dedicated instructors. Beginners welcome!

Mindful Music—Music Together
Chantilly / Sterling / 2 months – 5 years old

Every week in music classes at Mindful Music, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them come together to play together musically.
