Lavender Blues Music Class in Clinton Hill  

This class was so much fun! My son is 5.5 months old and this was the first music class I’ve brought him to, and he was captivated and engaged from the moment we walked in the room. The class was pretty full, about 15-20 caregivers with babies, but the space was adequate and it was nice to have an intimate setting so all the babies were close enough to interact and the teacher was always close enough to see and hear.

We loved all the songs (about 20 songs in all) and their variety, beyond just your average baby/kid songs. There was also parachute time and bubbles at the end and this was very exciting and different for my son. The teacher was amazing! She was so enthusiastic, full of energy and had a great voice. She also made a great effort to remember baby names and get them engaged. There were some stuffed animals scattered throughout the class and then about half-way through musical toys were introduced and the babies seemed to love those, including my son.

The time slot for this class is great for my son’s naps, and I’ve found it difficult to find classes that aren’t in the morning during nap time, so we will definitely be back to this class!
