It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go. We’ve rounded up the 3 best holiday activities of this weekend:
- Dyker Heights: If you want to see some of the best Christmas light displays in NYC, go to Dyker Heights. This is a must do at least once during the holidays! Look at the houses between 10th and 12th Ave. and 81st – 85th Sts. The best decorations and lights are located in between 11-13th ave. and 83rd to 85th Sts. Come between 5-9pm for the most intense lighting. The best displays are on the weekend.
- New York Botanical Garden’s Holiday Train Show: This is one of the most popular events in NYC and this year it has expanded by 3,000 sq. feet. Model trains zip through a display of 150 landmarks all made of bark, twigs, stems, fruit, seeds and pine cones. To avoid the crowds, go on a weekday or early morning. The train show runs until January 18. It is closed on Christmas Day and open until 3pm on Christmas Eve.
- Ice Skating at Wollman Rink, Central Park: This is one of the most picturesque activities to do during the holidays! The Rink is open on Christmas Eve from 10am – 7pm and Christmas Day from 10am – 11pm.
